Looking ahead: greater services for members in 2009/10
The 2008/09 financial year is behind us, and as is customary at this time, we have developed our plans and budgets for the next 12 months. I thought I would highlight some of the activities and initiatives the CCF will be rolling out in 2009/10.
Operating in crane mode gap training
Workplace Health and Safety Queensland, released a statement recently saying that its ability to process gap competency assessments, for a number of earthmoving and particular crane certificates, came to an end on 30 June.
Dogging work out for crane operators
WH&S has advised on its website, that as from August 30 an employer must not allow a person in charge of and/or operating a mobile crane (slewing/non-slewing), to also undertake their own dogging work or supervise a trainee dogger, even if the operator is also a licensed dogger.
