The Mustang Manufacturing Company has replaced its 2095 and 2105 models, with enhanced 2099 and 2109 skid steers, which offer mostly increased capabilities.

They are powered by new Perkins engines which develop 64kW and 86kW, three and four more kilowatts respectively. The engines meet the new tier II emissions certifications.

Both machines have increased SAE rated operating loads too. The 2099 at 1542kg, is up from 1429kg and the 2109 at 1665kg, is up from 1633kg. Breakout force is 35.1kN for difficult digging situations.

Multiple steering/hydraulic control options with ergonomic operator controls and integrated buttons allow operators to easily activate the HydraGlide ride control system and other functions.

The operating weights of both machines have been increased; up 313kg to 4618kg for the 2099 and up 356kg to 4654kg for the 2109.

Top speeds have been reduced for both, from 22.5km/h to 17.7 km/h for the 2099 and from 22.5km/h to 20.9km/h for the 2109. Height to the hinge pins is 3,607mm on both models.

The units are available standard with a Mustang Multi-Tach 2 pin FAT and a fully integrated air-conditioned cabin is optional. Also optional is a Hiflow hydraulic auxiliary pump that moves 151 litres a minute.
