A new company is bringing the next generation of Moxy Articulated Dump Trucks (ADTs) to Australia, complete with dedicated service agents and full parts support.
Moxy's 6WD ADTs, made in Norway and exported to the world, have been renowned for power, innovation and reliability for more than 30 years. Now a new company, Moxy Trucks Australia, has been established to reintroduce them to the Australian construction and mining markets and to better service Australian clients who already have them `on the job'.
Ian Shaw, a veteran of the Australian and Asian heavy machinery industries, will be heading up Moxy Trucks Australia, which will have its headquarters and a large parts stock centre in Brisbane.
Sole focus
“I'm very excited to have been chosen to reintroduce these outstanding ADTs to the Australian market,” Shaw said. “Our sole focus will be the support and marketing of Moxy products. This will allow us to provide excellent, focussed and fast service to owners, current and potential.
“One of our first priorities will be to proactively locate all existing Moxy truck owners in Australia, to offer and provide them with the parts and service support they expect from a world-class ADT manufacturer.”
The service arm will be run under a dealership model. The company will hold parts in stock, and will provide dedicated support and training to carefully selected local dealers within each state. The dealers will be responsible for fulfilling the service contracts on all Moxys in their area.
This model ensures that parts and service support are with the client as quickly as possible, reducing downtime and maximising productivity on-site.
Queensland dealer
Brisbane-based Earthmovers' Choice Pty Ltd has already been chosen as the Queensland Moxy dealer.
“Directors Roy Payne and Jim Keyworth are well known within Australia's construction and mining industry,” Shaw noted. “We're delighted to have them on board as they will bring a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience.”
With four Moxy models currently on the market and many older models going strong on sites around Australia, Ian Shaw sees an exciting future for Moxy Trucks Australia.
“Moxy's ADTs are ideally suited to Australian conditions as they combine exceptional performance with outstanding comfort and safety for operators,” said Mr Shaw. “I'm looking forward to introducing them to a whole new generation of owners and drivers.”
