South African company ThoroughTec, has appointed Training Technologies p/l Perth, as its exclusive Australian and Pacific region distributor for the company's CyberMINE range of operator training simulators.
Made in South Africa in accordance with ISO9001 standards, they use military specification components for ruggedness and reliability. So far the company has supplied more than 200 simulators for defence personnel training around the globe, including in Australia.
Simulators are available for both underground and surface drill rigs, rock bolters, excavators, wheel loaders, rigid rear dump trucks, belly dump trucks, articulated dump trucks, light vehicles and 4WDs.
ThoroughTec claims its manufacturing and quality policy, enables it to deliver a simulated machine, even one it has not simulated before, in record time.
In a haul truck simulation for example, the simulation has loaders in client specific colours and decals, which load in the same way as on the client's site.
Road conditions and machine dynamics are modelled to recreate actual environments. Client specific emergency procedures and work practices are also incorporated. Since every site has different practices such as overtaking, right of way, use of horns, lights, sirens and spotting, these are also included in the base price.
ThoroughTec has more than 20 years of simulation experience and CyberMINE units come with a standard 12 month warranty. Software upgrades can be scheduled at any time, should procedures change or new equipment be purchased.
