Leica PowerGrade, Leica Geosystems' next-generation 3D grading solution, is uniquely revolutionising the construction process, the company says.
Its claim to fame, is that it is the only 3D grader guidance solution that can sit seamlessly on top of every other 2D system on the market, including all grader offerings from Trimble and Topcon.
Also unique is PowerGrade's powersnap concept, whose central element is a docking station, allowing easy and quick exchange of panels and transfer between machines.
Project managers and machine operators are no longer restricted to one dozer or grader system for one machine: PowerGrade's unique snap-on/snap-off capability, allows operators to change from one configuration to another as the job demands. The operator can simply swap the 2D with the 3D panel or even transfer the panels between machines, then snap them into place and set off.
The system is easily upgraded too, and is fully scalable from basic 2D to full 3D capability, in the same control panel. One option does not exclude the other, and in case the machine loses GPS coverage, it simply continues in 2D with lasers and sensors.
For 3D solutions, there is a simple upgrade step: if you are not sure you want to take the whole investment today, then buy a 3D ready panel and upgrade later. If you only need 3D for a short period, you can rent the GPS/Tracker as well as the 3D software, from distributor CR Kennedy & Co Pty Ltd.
Designed to increase productivity and efficiency of machine operations, Leica PowerGrade can be used with a wide range of sensors and combines ease of use with unrivalled flexibility and powerful software.
