Vermeer Corporation has introduced a hydrostatic wide-cut rockwheel attachment, designed to cut up to a 30 cm wide trench in one pass, saving time by eliminating the need to make multiple passes.
The 2.13m diameter cutter wheel is powered by a hydrostatic motor, eliminating the potential for gearbox failures, and providing an efficient transfer of power to the cutting wheel. The wide-cut rockwheel is available on the Vermeer RTX1250 quad-track or rubber-tyre tractors and RT950 utility tractors as a centre-mount option.
Changeable segments offer the flexibility to cut trenches ranging from 10 to 30cm wide with a single attachment. Customers simply change the segment to adjust the cutting width to the size of trench desired. Segments are available in two pattern styles: general duty for soft rock, asphalt, and compacted soils or aggressive duty for concrete and hard rock.
Large, dual-primary and smaller, dual-secondary discharge chutes, provide the capacity necessary for the high volume of spoil generated by the wide-cut rockwheel. Robust, hydraulic dual stabilizers help isolate the attachment vibration from reaching the utility tractor.
