Featuring a combination of pioneering design – its hexagonal boom for example - precision manufacturing and advanced materials, the cranes are incredibly compact, but provide the capacity and reach of much larger machines, Gleason says.
Lifting capacity ranges from just under 1t to 6t. The 376, the most popular model, has a 14.45m boom and is 2m longer than its primary competitor.
All models except the smallest petrol engined 094CE, come standard with diesel engines, with the option of electric power or combination diesel/electric.
The 094CE is only 600mm wide, but has a tip height of 6.5m and maximum lifting capacity of almost 1t. Petrol powered, this model can be fitted with a catalytic converter for use indoors. Importantly, it will squeeze into the smallest spaces and is specifically designed to fit into lifts.
The 295, between the 094CE and the 376, features a capacity of almost 3t while still only 600mm wide. It also has the longest boom of any 3t crane on the market, Gleason says.
The 547CIE features the longest boom in the 4t class – 7 sections of main power boom provides a tip height of just over 19m – 1.4m longer than its nearest competitor.
The 706 range topper features a tip height of nearly 21m, fully 2m longer than its nearest rival; adding a jib option increases this length to 23m. Crucially it is still only 1.6m wide and 2.18m high, allowing it to gain access through a standard double doorway.
A unique automatic hook stow system, allows for controlled stowing with a lever or button, direct from the operator’s position. An anti two-block system prevents the hook from striking the boom tip and a standard turnover prevention device, ensures that operations are automatically stopped if limits are exceeded. Radio remote control is available.
For speedy assembly and disassembly, components can be self-assembled in confined locations, using the crane’s own winch. Stocks will be available in October, but orders are being taken now.
