Considering its relevance to earthmovers gaining access to their remote machines and projects, his update on the 42 year old Canadian made machines deserves exposure here too.
Clarkson’s machine is a two speed automatic with eight wheel drive. But a six wheel drive unit is available too.
Local dealer Argo All Terrain Vehicles, Caboolture 4510, says on its website that it is powered by a liquid cooled, 674cc, 19kW, Kohler Aegis LH 690 engine driving a two speed automatic gearbox transmitting power to the eight wheels via chains.
Top speed is 37km/h on land and about 3km/h in water although an outboard motor can be fitted for regular aquatic work. On land it will carry up to 520kg and in water up to 450kg including driver. Price is $30,228 ex Brisbane.
