Its latest solution, in response to customer requests and the development of the Australian Standard AS1418.19, is the Manicrane range of 12 to 21t capacity machines.
At first glance you would be forgiven for thinking it was a Manitou Maniscopic. However on closer examination you would see that the Manicrane has been designed to be used primarily as a crane, but with the added features of a Maniscopic telescopic handler.
Said Stuart Walker, GM of Manitou Australia, Over the past few years the acceptance of the Maniscopic concept has grown significantly. That has meant our products have been utilised in applications where traditionally a crane may have been used. In order to meet the demand and to give our customers greater flexibility we have developed the Manicrane range.
All are equipped with the latest crane technology and have been independently tested to meet the Australian Standard AS1418.19 that is derived from AS1418.5 Crane Standard.
Available with a choice of lifting attachments from fixed hook to fly jib winch combination or straight winch option, it utilises the Maniscopic concept in the design. But it is still able to be utilised with other Maniscopic attachments including fork carriage with side shift and fork positioner, bucket, access platform up to 1000kg capacity, tyre handler, hydraulic cylinder handler, etc.
Manitou Australia has an extensive Australian dealer network covering metropolitan and regional Australia; details of the dealer network are available on the Manitou Australia web site.
