On October 26 in wild Hunter Valley, NSW weather, Bobcat Australia achieved a world first for a distributor, by launching the biggest collection of new Bobcat equipment.

Staff and dealers braved wind and rain at Clark Equipment’s new branch at Heatherbrae, 333 Pacific Highway, about 20km north of Newcastle to see the showcasing of nine new models.
Top billing was given to the all new M-series range of loaders and excavators and the new M-series skidsteer (S630) and track loader (T630), which feature the most significant design changes undertaken by Bobcat since it largely invented the skidsteer more than 50 years ago.
The company says it has spent a great deal of time listening to operators, and has incorporated this feedback into new model designs. The result is they feature more power and performance, cab space and visibility, operator comfort and features, and uptime and on-site productivity.
As well, Bobcat launched the new T110 compact track loader, which has been specifically designed for hard to access or space constrained job sites, with a width of only 1.2m. It can carry 26 job matched attachments.
The option of a new roller suspension system for the Bobcat® T190, T300 and T320 compact track loaders was also released. This is the first roller suspension system that uses an all-steel design, and delivers improved operator comfort and easier maintenance, without sacrificing durability.
In another important initiative based on customer feedback, Bobcat launched the first all-steel track option for its T320 compact track loader. The steel track, which is exclusive to Bobcat, is similar to the tracks used on dozers and is ideal for customers working in earthmoving or abrasive environments, such as demolition and forestry, where the service life of the undercarriage and pushing traction are important requirements.
Last up was a new grader attachment for large frame loaders (the S250 and larger skidsteers, the A300 all-wheel loader and the T300 compact track loader). The new grader has a 2.44m mouldboard and features a 6-way blade plus hydraulic side-shift, and works with the new BLR2 laser guidance system.
The option of steel tracks or job matched attachments such as the grader, makes a great deal of commercial sense for operators looking to lower their fleet overhead, by using a multi task single machine.
Details of the new models are in the November issue of Earthmover and Civil Contractor.
