Thirty years after BT Equipment displayed its first Yanmar excavator at its Sydney premises, the now Australia wide company, has released the newest iteration of the Japanese brand in various versions.

In 1979 the first YB1200SS model was only available with a canopy and steel tracks. It weighed 2.85t, had a dig depth of 2.7m and a travel speed of 1.6km/h.
The latest, the VIO27-5B, is one of 9 models ranging from 1.065 to 9.5t, and comes standard with zero tail swing, joy stick controls, two way pattern select, 3 hydraulic pumps which combine flow for heavy operations, two speed travel of 2.8 and 4.7km/h, an hydraulic quick hitch and piping to the dipper arm’s end.
Options include rubber or steel tracks with an Artliner rubber pad option and a ROPS/FOPS canopy or ROPS/FOPS cabin. Operating weight is 3.15t for the canopy/rubber option, or 3.28t for the cabin/rubber option.
It is powered by a 16.1kW @ 2200rpm Tier 3 Yanmar diesel. Dig depth is 2.75m and dump height is 2.91m.
