Atlas Copco upgrades construction compressors

Atlas Copco has extended the use of Deutz engines for its mid range compressors, in the name of greater reliability and a faster return on investment. |
|
Compact units, the company says they bring high performance to demanding job environments like installation of fibre optic cables, abrasive blasting and small hole drilling. AC says they should be particularly useful additions to the fleet of equipment rental companies.
The new 128kW TCD 2012 T3 Deutz engine management system, provides optimised fuel economy. “With the addition of the innovative and proven FuelXpert™system, regulating engine speed and air intake, fuel consumption is further optimised,” AC says. The upgrade of the units will be highlighted by adding a “+” sign to the model numbers, as in XAHS 237+ (12bar and 236 L/sec) and XAMS 287+ (8.6bar and 285L/sec).
Featuring centralised fluid drains, accessible service points and service doors that can be fully opened, the units allow for easy maintenance and should provide many years of trouble free operation.
Options include an aftercooler/water separator to extract condensate from the compressed air, and cold weather equipment to allow starting down to -25.
