Steel tracks for tough surfaces
|
Semco has released a steel tracked version of the Takeuchi TL250 High Flow compact loader. This model is intended for applications where the life of rubber tracks may be threatened by regular use on aggressive surface |
|
The company envisages it will be attractive for railway maintenance, demolition and rock excavations. When equipped with an optional dozer blade, it is said to be capable of light dozing or ground clearing in applications such as fire fighting tasks.
Using the same drive motors and final drives as standard TL250s, the steel track version is equipped with a specially engineered set of tandem hydrostatic drive pumps. These deliver slower speeds and increased torque.
Before arrival of the first shipments, Semco is using a steel tracked TL150 on a number of typical sites for testing in different conditions and demonstration of the machine’s steel track capability. It will be on Semco’s site at Civenex next month.
