New Dynapac paver operator friendly
|
Two new SD series, medium class, tracked Dynapac pavers, offer optimised operation, maximised operator efficiency with excellent all-round viewing, innovative operating concepts and reduced engine and fan noise. |
|
Designed for high productivity on demanding city roads and highways, they will pave wearing, binder and base courses at laydown production rates of up to 750 t/h. Fuel use is reduced too as are engine and fan noise.
The new tracked pavers offer a basic width of 2.5 to 3m depending on the model and mode which, when equipped with the hydraulic extendable screeds, provide a working width of up to 6m.
This can be increased further with extension boxes to 8 – 10 m, again, depending on the model.
Operator efficiency
To offer increased operator comfort and efficiency, the driver’s seat can be easily turned 45º, providing the driver with an excellent unobstructed view into the hopper, the auger compartment, screed, lane indicator and unloading lorry, without turning his head. The seats can be easily slid, pivoted and locked in every position.
Featuring a newly developed control panel, all function keys are arranged according to the function group and frequency of operation i.e. frequently-used functions, often-used functions and seldom-used functions.
All buttons are raised and waterproofed, allowing safe operation even without the operator needing to look at the keyboard.
Economic features
The pavers feature 6m3 capacity hoppers, a laydown thickness of up to 300mm and 120 or 160kW at 1800rpm Deutz engines. A 1600 rpm Eco mode unit is available too. This low engine speed ensures reduced noise levels. These are reduced further by a thermically activated fan control, particularly in the warm up phase at the start of the shift operations.
In addition, sound is absorbed by insulated hoods, side flaps and rubber-cushioned cover sheets and mufflers; contributing to stress-free production process and undisturbed operator concentration.
The fan/cooler is also separately mounted to reduce vibration with a revised airflow on the main frame. A 400L fuel tank ensures longer operation and reduced refuelling.
Screeds
Featuring standard gas-heated screeds, electric-heated versions, including high compaction electric screeds are optionally available to ensure reduced CO2 emissions.
Internal stabilisation bars for the screed’s material guiding plates reduce setting up times when starting a new job. The screed’s remote controls on both sides of the paver, also swivel for better access to screed functions and levelling adjustments.
A redesign of the VB510TV screed, has shortened the screed body as well as with new multiple, anti-slip, foldable footsteps, to ensure that the complete paver is no more than 6.2m and 2.55m wide; allowing ease of transport together with a roller on to a low platform trailer.
Proven features
The new SD Series retains many well proven features of Dynapac pavers such as the auger with a smaller inner drive unit ensuring no material segregation. Other features include the patented screed system with four guiding tubes, excellent traction even on unbound surfaces and no reinforcement of the screed.
Ease of service
The top cover of the engine compartment is divided to provide improved ease of accessibility to the engine. The upper hand of the side covers can be completely removed, allowing the lower covers to completely swing open allowing easy access to all maintenance and service points such as oil filters.
