Chemical resistant gloves offer superior grip, dexterity

Ansell has launched AlphaTec®58-270, light, chemical-resistant, liquid-proof gloves, designed to enable the handling of oily parts. |

“Many solvents, oils and other chemicals can cause skin irritation and allergic reactions. Avoiding skin contact by using high performance gloves is an efficient approach to protect workers’ skin,” said Ansell sales and marketing director Jerome Feuvrier.
“Until now, workers handling harmful chemicals or oily parts could not protect their skin from damage without compromising comfort and dexterity. This glove provides the best combination of comfort, precise handling, industry leading grip and skin protection, anywhere chemicals including oils are present.
“This allows multitasking and therefore improved productivity: wearers do not lose time changing gloves. Because oil does not penetrate or degrade the coating, the gloves last longer. Another advantage is their thin, double-wall nitrile shell offering users excellent tactility and flexibility. The gloves’ lightness results in better comfort than any chemical-resistant glove.”
The gloves incorporate Ansell Grip Technology™, an innovative “wet grip” capability that allows workers to gain a safe hold on slippery objects while applying minimal force. It actively repels oils and other lubricants away from the pressure surface via microscopic channels in the coating. The result is a significant contact area that remains dry and possesses almost the same grip as fluid free conditions
Development of the gloves started more than two years ago, in response to intensive trials conducted across manufacturing industries, in Europe, North America and Australia.
