Shell Diesel Extra delivers new benefits

The first staged introduction to the Australian market of Shell Diesel Extra is now complete and is available to approved customers at five Shell terminals including: Newport (VIC), Parramatta (NSW), Pinkenba and Townsville (QLD), and Kalgoorie (WA) as well as 66 Shell branded service stations, including Coles Express sites, dealer owned sites and Shell un-manned truckstops in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.

Shell Diesel Extra was developed by Shell scientists and engineers over a three year period in laboratories worldwide to help benefit the commercial road transport sector and is designed to deliver fuel savings of up to three percent over the lifetime of a vehicle compared to regular diesel.

In addition to fuel savings, Shell Diesel Extra is designed to help you lower CO2 emissions, improve engine performance, prevent fuel system corrosion, reduce foaming, and reduce maintenance costs.

Mick Pattinson, Shell Australia’s Senior Fuels and Lubricants Technical Advisor, says “Shell Diesel Extra should help the transport sector improve fuel efficiency and reduce their maintenance costs.”

Shell Australia continues to invest in products, services and facilities that help to support the transport industry and underpin Shell’s position as a leader in innovation and technology. Combined with the Fleet Advantage Fuel Card this new Shell Diesel Extra can help drive your fleet further at a reduced cost meaning you are benefiting both the environment and also your wallet.

To make Shell Diesel Extra more readily available to customers, Shell has invested $5m on upgrading its retail network this year. A full list of retail outlets where Shell Diesel Extra is available can be found online at shell.com.au/commercialfuels.
