Tadano launches aussie-spec 60t truck crane

Tadano's new crane will set new standards

“The new Tadano GT-600EX fills a void in the Australian market,” said Peter Shelton, Operations Manager of Tadano Oceania.

“The previous Tadano truck crane, the Tadano GT550-EX, was a major force in Australia.   Now with the release of the new GT-600-EX model the market again has access to one of the best quality, best equipped and best performing truck cranes available in the world today.”

With a lifting capacity of 60 metric tonnes at a 3m radius, the Tadano GT-600EX has an impressive lifting chart. The GT-600EX features a fully hydraulic, round box construction type boom and bi-fold fly jib, with the boom reaching 43m when fully extended and a fly jib length of 8.8m to 15.2m. The crane superstructure is mounted on a Tadano own-brand chassis, which improves travelling and lifting performance.

The GT-600EX is equipped with a hydraulic suspension system that Tadano already uses in its all terrain and rough terrain cranes. This system allows very comfortable road driving, even at high speeds. Maximum travelling speed of the Tadano GT-600EX is 84km/h.

Probably the key attribute of this class of crane is that it has been designed to meet the Australian Bridge Formula while carrying all its counterweight, fly jib, 2nd winch and hooks.
