Viewpoint V6 meets new ATO reporting requirements

Two new features within the accounts payable module simplify the new reporting requirements. The first allows users to report on payments made to specific vendors in order to comply with the new ATO requirement that commences on 1 July 2012.

The second facilitates the tracking and payment of superannuation and other benefits to contractors whose roles are similar to employees.

These new features reduce the time-intensive process of reporting on vendors, provide an easier method for complying with the new ATO requirements, and enable a construction firm’s staff to readily track and pay benefits to contractors. However there are significant changes in other areas. A number of usability enhancements to the web-collaboration tool Viewpoint Connects provide greater collaboration between project stakeholders, subcontractors and employees.

In response to customer feedback, changes such as customisable columns, a collapsible menu and contents boxes have been introduced to reduce the need to scroll up and down to see all content. There are also 2 new screen background options that increase the usable screen area, and enhancements to timecard processing for easier use by field personnel.

The Job Bills (JB) module now allows users to now move a job bill into a future month, allowing the General Ledger (GL) for a month to be closed without removing JB Progress Bills that have not been pushed into accounts receivable. Uncertified claims can now be moved into a future month when closing the GL month.
