Available in single or three phase configuration, the compact but heavy duty electric drive steam cleaner, is ideal for machinery wash down, according to product manager Ali Hamade.
He said the cleaners had recently attracted huge interest at Sydney’s CivenEx. “Customers told us they wanted simple heavy duty machines without complicated electronics,” Hamade said. “They also wanted heavy duty steel frames, easy to access components for service and rugged reliability.”
The Stella had a range of features not available on other machines. Its heart was a “Big Berty” Bertolini triplex brass pump with stainless steel valves, the Bertolini exclusive double seal system, solid ceramic pistons and over-size roller bearings.
“The machines are equipped with Aussie Safety Protection (ASP) including thermal dump and safety valve as standard. The safety valve blows off if the machine spikes, protecting both the cleaner and the operator. The thermal dump activates if the machine is left on excessive by-pass,” Hamade explained.
A simple version of Total Stop Protection was also supplied as standard equipment, shutting the machine down automatically, when the gun was not in use.
The machine was built tough with a basic chassis of tubular steel, chrome plated for corrosion protection. Steel side panels were ‘click on’ enabling easy access for servicing. The boiler system consisted of a stainless steel AISI3045 fire box and chimney with perforated chrome steel cover.
“Stella cleaners are not lightweight machines. They offer steam temperatures of up to 140º and are equipped with 1450rpm pumps and 4 pole heavy duty motors, for a long, trouble-free life” he said.
