Healthy industry and $1000 visa card too hard to refuse

With a healthy industry and New Holland Construction’s $1000 Visa card offer for all new equipment purchased before 30 November, investing in new equipment has never made more sense, says Queensland contractor Wayne Clark. |

Wayne Clark took advantage of New Holland Construction $1000 Visa card offer to grow his business with the purchase of a new LB110B backhoe.
Wayne’s business, Clarke’s Contracting, is based at Inglewood in southern Queensland. His latest acquisition, an LB110B backhoe, which will be used on a range of new construction sites, came about following a rise in the level of construction work locally.
“I started out in business 10 years ago, doing both construction work and hay baling,” Wayne explained. “However after five years, I focused exclusively on hay baling as that was where we were seeing strong demand. But in the last six months, I’ve witnessed quite a rise in the amount of construction, particularly in new houses. To take advantage of the work, I needed the right gear on hand.”
The $1000 Visa offer was a further bonus, Wayne added. “When we got the backhoe, we purchased a range of attachments such as the chain trencher and a borer for digging holes. I plan to spend the $1000 bonus on more attachments. That way we’re adding to our business opportunities.”
The Federal Government’s Small Business Tax Break, with up to 50 per cent rebates available on all new equipment, further sweetened the deal. “With all the available work and these extra incentives, there was no reason not to lash out and invest in new equipment,” Wayne added.
New Holland Construction Brand Manager, Wayne Munce, said the Visa offer is available for all purchases of existing new equipment made befiore November 30. “The offer has been running since the start of October and it’s proved popular, particularly coupled with the current government incentives. Given that there’s not long left, we’re urging operators to visit their local dealer quickly.”
