As we went to press, Jacko’s Backhoes (0418 238 274) was operating a demonstration machine in the Sydney suburb of Lidcombe, with pleasing results.
The III in the name indicates it is the series III version. It features a high visibility backhoe boom design with digging depths of 4.362m. An optional extending dipper stick increases dig depth to 5.557m. The rated bucket capacity for the backhoe is 0.21m3 and the rated capacity for the loader bucket is 1m3.
It is powered by a 74.5kW Perkins 1104D-44T Tier 3 engine and is available here in four wheel drive only. The drivetrain is a proven, heavy-duty Carraro engineered system of axles, torque convertor and transmission. Operator comfort is maximised with a spacious, heated and air conditioned cab, with a full suspension seat.
In 2008 LiuGong received a China National Quality Award. Since its inception in 2001, only 62 companies from any industry in China have received this award. LiuGong is the only company in the machine industry to receive this recognition.
LiuGong processes and parts are ISO 9000 compliant, and the company is adopting Six Sigma quality methodology.
