NY Stock Exchange promotes Call Before You Dig

Representatives from John Deere Construction & Forestry, the Common Ground Alliance and the US Department of Transportation, rang the ceremonial closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange on Friday, to promote awareness of underground utilities through the use of the national 811 call-before-you-dig phone number. Because of harsh winters, much of North America is excavation unfriendly, from late November to at least April.

Brisbane Airport Flyover to open early

The final bridge segment on the new 750m Brisbane Airport Flyover was installed last weekend, bringing completion of the $327m Airport Roundabout upgrade project one step closer. The Flyover is expected to open its eastbound lanes to cars in October, 13 months before the original scheduled completion date of November 2011.
