World’s fastest diesel teams up with Power Equipment
JCB has appointed Power Equipment as its exclusive distributor of DieselMax engines in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.
British built, the world’s fastest diesel engine it set the world land speed record for diesel engines a couple of years ago, at a speed of 563.418km/h. The record attempt in the US was initiated by JCB to showcase the extreme performance capability of an engine which normally powers off-highway equipment.
Power Equipment says it has achieved an enviable reputation as the authorised distributor of Yanmar marine and industrial engines in the same territory. According to its business manager Noel Heritage, the new distribution agreement with JCB brings together like minded companies. “This is a complementary fit. Both companies are simply committed to excellence in everything they do and we are truly delighted to have this agreement.”
The Yanmar range begins with a 2.3kW single cylinder diesel, and runs up to a 63kW multi cylinder diesel. The JCB DieselMax range includes naturally aspirated, turbo charged plus turbocharged and intercooled four cylinder configurations up to 120kW. Environmental compliance is well to the fore, with all models at least Tier 2 if not Tier 3 compliant.
The agreement with JCB DieselMax was effective January 1st 2010 and the first shipment of engines was expected to arrive into the Power Equipment warehouse by the end of February.
Power Equipment we will utilise its existing dealership network and sales force to represent the JCB DieselMax brand alongside the Yanmar brand.
