Volvo sells 100 excavators to one Chinese company

Highway, mining and real estate company Tang’s Sunrise Investment Co, ordered 100 heavy excavators on the first day of a Volvo Construction Equipment sales promotion in the Chinese city of Fuquing.

The deal adds to Tang Sunrise’s Volvo fleet of 17 large excavators, including two flagship 70t class EC700BLCs.
Tang Sunrise’s 100 unit deal includes 75 36t EC360BLCs, 15 of the larger 46t EC460BLCs, and 10 of the 29t class EC290BLCs. These machines will be used in the development of a large coal mine in Shanxi Province.
“Compared with other manufacturers, [I am impressed with] the strong digging force, high fuel efficiency, good service support and easy troubleshooting of the Volvo products,” Tang said when asked his reasons for committing to the Volvo sale.
The deal was signed in late February at Volvo dealer Fuzhou Huanda Machinery’s Spring Festival ordering seminar. With the theme of Fortune in Owning Volvo, the customer event ran for 10 days. During that time more than 250 machines were ordered, almost all of them medium and larger excavators.
