Hansen Yuncken awarded Cairns Terminal contract

Hansen Yuncken has been awarded a contract to refurbish the International Terminal Departure Lounge at Cairns Airport, the $15m project due for completion by the end of this year, will greatly improve facilities for the airport’s growing number of international passengers. |

Hansen Yuncken also completed the $200m redevelopment of Cairns’ state-of-the-art domestic terminal in 2010. The Departure Lounge refurbishment will deliver new and refreshed specialty and food & beverage outlets, plus a new walk-through duty free store, border control and security facilities will also become more streamlined.
The company's other current and recent construction projects in Far North Queensland include Lavarack Defence Barracks in Townsville, and the Botanic Gardens Visitor Centre and James Cook University School of Dentistry in Cairns.
