Dates for this year’s Australian Innovation Festival are from 26 April to 31 May 2012, events in the first week of June may also be included in the official program if they are in line with the Festival objectives of showcasing the best that Australia can offer in terms of innovation and entrepreneurship.

In excess of 400,000 people will be attending the expected 700 plus events throughout Australia. There will be increased coverage this year from our media partners, 24 associate innovation festivals and new initiatives such as the national Vision 2020 series and New Exchange magazine.

The 2012 Festival theme ‘Creating the Knowledge Economy’ will be supported by the continuing focus on the four C’s of innovation - Creativity, Connections, Collaboration and Commercialisation.

Sofitel Wentworth is the venue for the National/NSW Festival launch on 20 April 2011. Invited speakers include the Hon. Greg Combet, Federal Industry and Innovation Minister. State and Territory launches will be held prior to or just after 26 April.
